“Chase”
October 29th, 2005 – June 12th, 2018

What can I say about this dog, the dog that stole my heart. He is the whippet that opened me up to the world of dog training and dog showing. Who knew all of that would stem from this guy. Chase was our first whippet. He came to live with us Christmas of 2005. Chase is out of Select Ch Andauer Am I Gonna Be a Star ROM (Dominick) and Ch Tri-Pod’s Queen of the Nile (Cleo). Chase was my Christmas present after we had lost Odie in August. He was the best Christmas present I could have ever received. 

We made a lot of good memories together. Chase was my first dog to take to Puppy Kindergarten classes. He did so good and was always a wanting to

please me. Chase was always willing to start something new and once he got the jest of it he realized he didn’t like it. Unless is was laying on the couch. He was very good at that.

I wanted to take more classes, so we tried out conformation. We started traveling to shows and meeting other people with whippets that we showed with. It was nice to talk with them about their whippets and know that my whippet wasn’t out of the norm. It was amazing to see all of the different colors of whippets. Chase and I started doing Obedience and was able to get his CGC title. I was so happy for that. We also tried out Agility! Like I said, Chase loved new things until he didn’t. So a lot of the Agility and showing was dropped because he just didn’t like it. It did not matter to me though. Chase always gave us unconditional love regardless of what he didn’t do. He was my special boy and losing him was very hard. He was so loyal and loving. We were very lucky to have him in our lives.
